He may have had a few sketches or ideas, but he did not have it all firmed up like he did with dune 7.

the prequels can be said to be at least 80% KA and BH IMHO, where as Dune 7 is 90% FH.

He was writing the books in order never imagining he would die, like all of us thinking he was immortal. I don't think he even had more then 20 pages of the barest notes on any of the outlines done. Else he never would have had Paul born on Kaitan when he clearly states he was born on Caladan.
