I can't quantify my favorite parts with a few scenes, but let me try to give an idea of my favorites:

-the first 200 pages of Dune; specifically, up to the very cool and detailed dinner party scene -- I'm not sure of the exact pages for that. It was during this scene that I realized this was one of the best stories I'd ever read (I now realize that it's the very best, by far). Recently, I took a second look at the earlier parts of the book, before the dinner party and decided that it all deserves mention here.

-the trials of Duncan Idaho, throughout books two, three and four;

-all of the action scenes and all of the suspense scenes in books five and six -- just plain cool;

-everything else =D
