She tells him that that person is the Kwisatz Haderach. They were breeding specifically for someone who could bridge space and time and see down the masculine avenues of the past!

How could you say they weren't breeding for this!?

If you want to argue that Paul, isn't what they expected, that's a different story. But I am pretty damn sure, based on the quote in the Other Memory thread, that the Bene Gesserit intended for some sort of other memory.

As far as Paul having Other Memory, you have to agree that if nothing else, he could see into the past. I will look for the passage about him discovering his Harkonnen lineage, but I am almost positive he says "I looked back into my blood." This would imply something more akin to Other Memory as described by Mohiam in that passage I talked about where she says "Her body's memories," and NOT mentat extrapolation of facial features and Bene Gesserit motives.
