Hey, I liked the 84 version too! If they could have remade that movie, with the same actors and actresses they had then, but the special effects that are now available - I think it would be great! And will never happen, of course (sigh). I think that Kyle Maclachlan's Paul is a thousand times better than Alec Newman's Paul - at least in the first miniseries. He got better in CoD. But Kyle's depiction of Paul was much more mature, I thought. in the first Dune miniseries, I was EXTREMELY disappointed to see Paul being portrayed like such a g.d. brat. Pissed me off big time, let me tell you.
I want to get the 84 movie on DVD - do you know if its available?
