If Alia and Feyd would have mated they probably would have produced a kwizatz haderach. This KH would have seen the golden path so no biggie there. However, since this KH would have been controlled by the BG it might have commited suicide like the Tlielaxu one did. Also the union of Atreides and Harkonnen would have created a much larger faction in the Empire, possibly giving the "new KH" a springboard to the throne.
