It is said more than once(I believe...not completly sure) that Paul Muad'dib was more than the KH, and that some of his powers(and the powers of his son) were found in the large amount of melange he absorbed when he adopted the life of a Fremen(and thats why I think that Alia kept taking larger and larger doses of spice in Dune Messiah when she is trying to become prescient). A child of Feyd and Alia, KH though they might have been, may not have seen the Golden Path because there would be no reason for the child to grow up on or have any connection to Arrakis.
I do agree, however, that the union of Harkonnan and Atreides would have gained them an enormous amount of power, and certainly a very clear shot at the throne.
