Hmm....

Back in '88 I read Dune but forgot most of it. I mainly read it after watching the movie to get a better idea of what the movie was about. The next book I actually read was "The Butlerian Jihad", and I finished that a month or so ago. It wasn't bad, though most of the Dune "purists" seem to hate it.

Well, I started reading Dune but have now put that off after watching the mini-series. I'm reading "God Emporer" so I can see what happens after the mini-series. Yes, I'm aware that the show is different than the book but, I believe, the general spirit is there. I have all of the books (the six Dune novels, the three "House" novels and the BJ) and once I finish "God Emporer", I'm going to finish Frank Herbert's novels and then start with "House Atreides" and work my way to where I started. I figure by then, the sequel to BJ will be out.
