Subject: So what have you read, when did you read it, and how many times?

I first read Dune when I was 13 back in 1981, and devoured it twice.

In 1986 with the release of the movie DUNE my attention was piqued again and I got Dune Messiah and Children of Dune. After reading those two, I re-read all three again.

Around 1990 I discovered there was 3 more DUNE books, how had I missed those? So of course I read those 3 back to back... GEoD, HoD, and C:D. WOW what a story, I could only go back to the Original and read all 6 in a row !!

Then I truly believed Dune was dead. no more books and so many unanswered questions, so many stories left untold.

Until last year and I discovered Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson had written 3 more books. The Prelude to Dune Trilogy !! YES more Dune, but it took me a year to get all three books and I just finished those. and I'm saying wow again !

Now I'm re-reading the 6 Frank Herbert books in anticipation of Dune 7 !

I won't read Legends of Dune (Butlerian Jihad etc) until all 3 books are released so I can devour them at once.

and there is rumours of more !

so how about you?
