i guess i jumped in the middle of a post!!! i can't recall anything but a vague reference to mohiam's part in it at all in franks writings. the passage you quote may be referring to the bg as a whole and not mohiam personally having a'part in it'. i think the whole baron- mohiam-revenge-disease thing sounds like brian&co. to me. all i recall from dune is them saying that the mother is often never revealed in the breeding program because they may want to cross two close relatives to achive the bloodline they are after.
