Ever read the book Shogun by James Clavell? 1300 pages of Japanese culture, intrigue, and plots. Remember the Shogun maxi-series on tv in 1980? 10 HOURS long !!

And it was as close to the books as you are going to get.
It got a 8.4 Rating at IMDb. This link will go there in a new window if you want to check it out :-)

"Shogun mini-series"

So here's my thought, how many people have actually read GEoD? Millions if sales are to be any judge, I'd guess tens of millions if anything.

If they did a mini-series of that caliber, I bet most of the novel fans would eagerly watch it. Can you imagine the 5 solid nights of ratings sci-fi could get with that?

Jay
