In the late 80s/early 90s, I kept seeing this bizarre movie titled 'Dune' on saturday afternoons on the local Fox station. For awhile, it seemed like it was playing ever other weekend. I was memorized by Lynch's universe, but also slightly confused. I had so many questions, and the narrated introduction with the pastel-like drawings helped only so much.

Once i was informed that there was a book, i bought it and immediately dove in to it. LOVED IT. And i didnt even find out that there were more books until i was fishing through the sci-fi section of a nearby 'barn-o-books' and came across rest...I even managed to buy the encyclopedia!!!

I'm still a faithful reader (and re-reader) and have loved the new prequels. I was always disappointed about the ending to Chapterhouse as it left with me with sooooo many questions. I felt like there should have been more. So im anxiously awaiting the seventh.

I'm currently rereading GEoD. It's always been my least favorite as i didnt like being without the characters from the first three. The lack of true fremen saddened me. I wasnt a fan of leto the worm and had a hard time thinking of him as a likable atriedes. But i'm older now and understand more - so i appreciate the book a lot more.

Cannabist, I admire your fortitude in waiting for all 3 legends to be published before u read them. I'm just not that strong.

I know that some fans have a hard time accepting the new additions to the dune universe, but I am just so happy to have more Dune to read. Furthermore, I also think that Brian and Kevin are doing a great job.
