Hi,

I love your band, but after having seen my first original setlist show I'd have to request that you not make it so obvious when the setlists are original. For me a good part of the experience is seeing how the setlist unfolds and trying to guess at least the year (or general era) of the show. After seeing "Brent" sing 'Tons of Steel' in Saturday's show in Boulder and then "Donna" sing 'Rising Sun' a few songs later, there was little question that the show was an original setlist, and I found I found myself rather disappointed with the show as a result of knowing it wasn't real.

Don't get me wrong, you still sounded great, but I've always liked how you've distinguished yourselves from other Dead cover bands by actually recreating the full Dead show experience. I know it's got to be incredibly difficult to pull off mixing songs and styles from different eras within one show, but this fan's opinion is that it'd be more fun to see you come up with subtler original setlists that would keep the audience guessing all night, just like when you play real shows.

Just a thought -- thanks for listening!

Betty
