Subject: Spew retracts on Veevoldt
In reply to: New Dehli Chronicle 's message, "Nawab slams RFL Admin" on 21:46:05 03/22/05 Tue

VVS Laxatives new coach Floodney Spew denies having his players target Nick Veevoldt in a practice game on the weekend, which saw the star forward finish with a broken collar bone.

"Yeah, No, No my comments last week about him missing the season were taken out of context. I said I hoped he did a knee, not a shoulder. He won't be out for as long as we hoped" Spew said "Theres no way I directed our players to target him. I said see if you can hurt him but thats not the same as targetting"

Veevoldt was ready to sign with the Laxatives when the RFL brought a new team into the competition at the 11th hour and Veevoldt was drafted by them, whoever they are. Laxatives President the Nawab of Carnegie has ruled out a legal challenge now that Veevoldt has been injured "I managed to sell the house I bought for him and made a tidy profit, so I don't care anymore" he said.
