Go on, just watch story six!

I really can't be f***** arsed with people mailing me about my reviews these days, I just really can't! I think it shows some arrogance to mail someone, like the twat who did three months ago, and go "This is what I think is wrong with your reviewing style" - then you read theirs on the IMDb and it's complete f****** horseshit that a three year old could do better. Anyway, I just got a new mail through the IMDb post system:

The Worsed Review Ever

I read your review on The Breakfast Club, and I found it humorous to tell you the truth. John Hughes Films are always about issues that normal teenagers live through, John Hughes is NOT making art films, nor a massive statement. He is simply using materials that teenagers can relate to. I foun many statements in your review that any John Hughes Fans would find complimentary to his work, and only would support his intentions. So-called "amatuer psychology" IS the level at which teens think. However, the bottom line is that after 15 years teens are still watching and still relating to his work, and that is the only intention John Hughes ever had. Before you can critique, you need to have some idea, or some hypothisis of the artists intentions. Otherwise you have nothing to base any judgement by, except predefined, an inaccurate definitions of art.

The arrogance with which you mail me, proclaiming that my review is the "worst ever" when you can't even have the care to spell correctly is beyond belief.

Basically, I don't NEED to know what was going through John Hughes' mind, what he had to eat that morning or when was the last time he did a poo on the toilet... I was writing the review from my subjective opinion and if you don't like it then write your own review instead of mailing people to criticise theirs. As I said, normally I would argue this point, but I presented my opinion and if you didn't like it, tough!"

Yes, you are shit. The fans say Invisible Enemy is cack - I say it's not so bad. But be prepared to see a five-foot prawn waddling around, that's all. Are you watching Blake's 7? I see they're showing season three at the moment. I've actually got nearly every single episode of season three, they're well worth watching... - If there's one thing I can't stand, it's people who can't take any criticism of the films they like - especially when they write to you with an atrociously cobbled together piece of illiterate shite like that guy! Will we ever top Ron, I wonder? I watched Psycho III as soon as I got up this morning, which meant that I completely forgot about Who until I read your post just now - oops! The problem with Blakes 7 is that I started watching it on TV when BBC2 repeated it, then started buying the vids to watch it and found that there weren't that many around, then stopped buying the vids because I don't want to replace them all on DVD... so I'm in limbo with that one right now. I got the vids second-hand, too (the ones with the illustrated as opposed to photo covers, right?)... yeah, I only need to get one episode from series three and about four from series four... though I haven't seen any of series two, couldn't get those ones at all...       - I was tired last night so I fell asleep during Trois Couleurs Bleu, so I'll finish that today. It was better than I remembered, though still probably the slowest and least accessible of the three.. don't be put off if you don't like it, Grigg, cos the others are different and better. And after all, that group called themselves Three Colours Red and not Blue or White, didn't they?         Actually I just suffered Dracula for the third time to do a review for our site, so it's still hovering about... I guess as much as I like Red Dwarf it doesn't set off that spark to make me want to write about it - either that or I just can't be arsed. I can never remember the Vengeance water jugs trick either - I rewound it once to figure it out slowly and it does work, but I'm buggered if I can remember how. Cracking film though.         Oh yeah, you cheeky bitch, I saw a French films yesterday - Le Diner de Cons (***1/2) - and managed to make it to the end despite the lack of flying cars! Up yours! Well, can't sit around here all day chatting, I've got to fit another film in before Teen Wolf Too on Sci-Fi - you know, on Sky - at 2.
