First of all, I think I have a cold or allergies combined with the fact that the baby is so darned big he is pressing on my lungs and I can't sleep anymore. I will fall asleep and then wake up gasping for breath, even in a chair so my positions are very limited and I have to move around a lot.

Well, Sunday night I was sitting in the chair asleep and I woke up with a horrible pain and it looked and felt like a fist punched through my skin. By last night the tear had gone from a small maybe 1 inch thing near my pubic bone to a protruding and swelling gap that is about 1 inch wide and goes almost to my belly button.

Last night I slept in the chair with icebags to keep the swelling down and first thing this morning I called her. She was about to call me and suggest a doctor's referal and then when I told her about the tear she was a little freaked out. Apparantly when the baby shifted he tore apart my abdominalo muscle and it is continuing to tear right up. It happens to people but the fact that he is already late and big and now just by turning he has managed to tear my abdominal muscles is probably not a good thing.

I am quite sure the homebirth is over and I will be at the hospital later today. We are waiting for a call back from the doctor as I type this. And after lots of further research and consulting with specialist there are actually people who never produce enough hormones to sent themselves into a natural labor and it looks like I am probably one of those people. It is, of course, very rare. Lucky me...
