You know, I had Teiguen all enrolled at Sycamore. I got NADA from them this entire summer.

So, I bought everything on the generic list the district sends home. I also did what the teachers at Sycamore ask...labeled EVERYTHING. Seriously...each crayon has his name on it!

Yesterday I hauled in the mail and threw it on the library table. It was a huge pile of propaganda for the elections Tuesday. Buried in it was a letter from Southern.

Now, here's my gripe. The district distributes this supply list. It's at WalMart and on the website. I know I enrolled Teiguen late...but that's not my fault considering I STILL don't have letters of acceptance or denial.

In the letter from Southern is a whole different list. A towel instead of a nap mat. Different construction paper. Different markers. Oh, and Clorox wipes and Baby wipes.

Some of the things I bought they don't want.

I NEW this would happen no matter where he went. My question is, don't you think this is rather rude??? I think the district needs to go back to distributing lists for individual schools. It is inconsiderate to distribute lists, then send out new ones. Last weekend was the tax-free weekend, when most parents buy their stuff. After that, the stores are pretty much cleaned out.

I wish I didn't work in this district. They would be hearing what I think about this policy!!!

Oh, and on top of working late on Thursday and again Monday, now they want me to attend a parent meeting on Wednesday night!?! Why can't they do that Monday...why should the parents have to come in twice in one week?

Wednesday is Liam's birthday. We won't be there!
