Subject: Okay, birthday parties have changed since I was a kid... The plans were to watch all the Star Wars movies...while playing board games. Well, three of the four boys who came have their own agenda. One kept making up rules for Clue that included killing other people and moving to level 2. One just wants to wrestle everyone. The boy who brought movie #1 brought a scratched version, so it kept freezing. When I went to grab dinner, one kid tore holes in the table cloth. One declined to make the shirts we made. One brought swords and guns and wants everyone to shoot and stab each other. This is Liam's last birthday party. Next year he can choose one child and we'll do whatever they want...golf, swimming, one of the local arcades, renting a hotel room so we can swim...WHATEVER. Just no more group birthday parties.
