I know I'm stressed and not in a great mood these days, but I can't figure out whether I'm reading more into these e-mails that I should or whether everyone else is bitchier than I am!

I e-mailed Maureen, Heather, and Debbie to make sure Sunday the 20th would be open for them. Here's why...they are the friends who always come to our parties. They are also the ones who act like family...they bring everyone including the neighbors.

When Heather answered she said the 20th is open now, but her calendar is filling quickly so I need to book something asap and get back to her if I expect her to hold the date.

Huh???

How is it that people are too busy to attend birthday parties now??? It seems to me that this has to be an artificially generated business. Nobody can really be THAT busy, can they???

I'm going to call the pool first thing tomorrow. I told her we'll do the party the 20th one way or the other. The thing is, if the pool is already booked, that means I'll be having a party where only Liam's friends can come...not the whole family! The most I can afford at putt-putt golf is 8 kids. At that, I might have to uninvite Maureen's girls!

Sheesh.

Oh, and on another topic, did I mention that our first day of work is 1 pm to 8:30 pm. Because the damned hotel has a 1 pm check in??? I can't find a babysitter for those hours! What the hell??? Like we have no lives?
Then I have to be back there the next morning at 8.

I need another job. Seriously. One where you work hard, get paid for it, and aren't viewed as a slave.
