For months I've been suggesting to Liam that he have a smaller party this year. No way! He wanted to invite all his friends from last year, soccer buddies, and the entire class from this year.

At first he wanted putt-putt golf. The cheapest place around here gives you cake and soda, a party room, and ONE round of golf...for $140 for 8 kids.

So, at the swim party the other day I suggested we rent the pool. That way we could have up to 90 people for the same price. My concern was that the pool doesn't allow food. We'd have to do cupcakes and soda in the park next to it to start...but that was do-able.

Last night I gave Liam the school directory and told him to circle the names of the kids he wants to send invitations to. He comes up with 4 names...Gavon, Jason, Chet, and Gabe. Um...okay. 4 kids??? We're renting a pool for 4 kids???

Here's where I'm wishing I had a van! With my two I can't possibly transport that many. 7 people in a Sentra? I don't think so.

I talked to Liam today, and now it seems he wants to do a game night and sleep-over. Huh???

After I've contacted everyone to tell them to save the date???? I'll have to uninvite Maureen's girls...she doesn't let them do sleep-overs...and like they'd want to anyway, considering it's going to be all boys here.

I am going to buy invitations today...and send them! That way he can't change his mind again! Wish me luck!
