Let me just say, I have a real issue with the way the women at the Health Department speak to people. The shot clinic is 9 - 11 and 1 - 4. We got there at 1:10. The entire sitting room was full.

A chick greeted me, wouldn't even let me talk to the girl behind the desk, and handed me paperwork. I started to fill it out and she snapped, "I can't have you standing here! GO SIT DOWN!" Um, okay...except there are three of us and there wasn't a single chair.

They called another family in and we were able to get one chair...then a few minutes later two more. UGH.

They told me the wait would be almost an hour. So much for our plans to go to Kaleidoscope today.

Well, the waiting room cleared out, refilled, cleared out, started to refill....and we're still sitting waiting. People who came in 45 minutes after us had been seen!

The gal next to me told me to go ask. I was afraid the witch at the door would put us to the bottom of the pile again. I went to ask and she didn't even let me finish my question...just yelled at me to go sit down. Then, although I'd given her our last name already, yelled after me to ask it again, then before I could sit down yelled for us to come on.

HM....the first thing the gal in the room where they take your temp asked is how to say Teiguen's name. I fully believe that they kept shuffling his file to the bottom because they didn't know how to pronounce his name!

That chick was then going to be MAJORLY bitchy to me...but it turns out that I knew BOTH nurses. One worked with me at Bryant. The other is a friend from church. They both told the evil temperature chick to back off, lol!

The good news is, the shots were free and Teiguen doesn't have to have any more until he's 15.

He was good as gold. Stood there and let her poke him three times without flinching! As a reward he asked to go eat at McDonalds. I had too much fast food last week, but since he was so good about it, we went and had an early dinner.

You know, I really feel sorry for those people who HAVE to use the free health clinic. How rude...treating people more like cattle than like humans. You know the people working there make good money...it's a government job. It's not like they're there doing anyone a favor. I dunno. It just got on my nerves big time.

Thank goodness that after October 1st we'll be able to go to real doctors if we need to!
