I would lean toward believing all the weirdness!!! Seriously. I swear to you that when he first hit...when All the Right Moves came out...there was an article in People magazine about him. It said that he was raised Catholic and had contemplated entering the seminary (which I've since heard again and again). At the time he was married to Mimi Rogers. It said that the reason they weren't planning to have children had nothing to do with her being 10 years older than him...it was because he'd had a football injury in high school and was sterile because of it. I SWEAR to you!!! I wish I had that magazine still.

Later on, about maybe 14 or 15 years ago, there were rumours on the radio here that Nicole Kidman was at an eating disorders clinic in Topeka. Everyone from nurses to cafeteria workers were talking about it. The rumour was that she was depressed about not being able to have children with Tom and had become anorexic. It was shortly after that they started adopting.

That's why I wondered about this whole thing from the start. I love the scoop from you, lol!!! I never read the paper anymore and I NEVER see tv, so I don't hear these things!

Oh, and I saw Dr. Drew with Craig last night. He was very much in support of Mel...as was Craig. Of course, Craig is a recovering alcoholic, too. Dr. Drew said that research he has done show that alcoholism tends to manifest itself in people who have been geographically isolated and attacked from the outside repeatedly over generations. He said basically, that's the Irish, Scottish, and Welsh people. He said his theory is that addicts are more highly evolved than other people...they have developed a way to cope with ongoing stress and threat. The people who didn't adapt died.

It makes sense to me. That's what you see in the inner city here...although most of their attacks come from within now, not outside of themselves.

That stupid stuff that people do when on substances are one reason why I've never been tempted to do substances! I can be plenty stupid on my own, lol!
