It was quite a week for me. I believe that there were like 1,800 kids that showed up all or most days and our room had about 11ish 3 year olds and 2 teachers and an assistant (Colin) We had to walk them from room to room for different activities in the same halls as all of the big kids. It was a mess some times because they could get lost and bumped into and I was afraid that they would get lost.

I am glad that I did it but being 35 weeks pregnant in the June heat of Texas and chasing 11 3 year olds around inside and out was more than I should have signed up to do. Friday was actually the worst day for me because they brought in balloon jumpers for all of the kids. The one that they assigned to us was not what they ordered. It was a slide that you had to climb up ropes to the top and then slide down the front. UGH! I had to lift kids, Colin had to go around front and catch then so they didn't bounce off into the parking lot and Terry was on chase patrol, she walked them back around so they didn't run off into the rest of the parking lot. All of the picking up of the kids killed me and I had severe contractions for hours after I left yesterday and I am still sore today.

All of the kids had a great time and I met some really nice people at vacation Bible school.

Thursday we had to go to Robert's company party. It was held at his bosses house, the one who is over a lot of different departments. In his 7 years witht eh bank he has managed to get out of almost every company event and this time she told him he better be dead if he didn't show up with us! He hates this sort of stuff. We rushed out of VBS and drove downtown to pick him up and then drove like another hour to her house out in the boonies. It was originally supposed to start at noon or 1 but at the last minute they decided to start it at 11:30. We got there at 2!

It was all good because it gave the weirdos less time to google us and pick on us. All week long they had been talking to Robert at work and "I" was the topic of conversation around the office there. Robert told me to be on my best behavior. He knows that I am very pregnant and cranky and didn't want me to go postal on some of the people who feel the need to give me their person opinions on my life choices!!! There was one comment but the lady said it to Robert and I never heard what she said but he spun around and told her "Yes, I guess we are a lot like bunnies. Anything else you want to say?" I don't know who she was but he is usually really laid back so it must have been rahter rude.

The lady throwing the party has 5 children--one special needs with downs and a heart condition. He came out to play with Ian and Paul in the pool. Ian loved him and thought he was so cute and called him the green baby because he had a green floaty suit. It made her laugh out loud. They played very nicely for about an hour. They also played with another family that had 3 kids and they were new to the area.

Turns out another lady there is from a family of 8 children and was wonderful to us. I had never met her before but enjoyed talking to her. She has never married or had kids but was so supportive. I also ran into a few people we knew and they were nice to us. The day went much better than I could have expected. People complimented the kids a lot and they sent us home with tons of food left over from the caterers. It was us or the trash. I think a few other families took a few things but they loaded us up with a lot of cookies and desserts and stuff. Then we got stuck for 2 hours in the car going home and we ate a lot of the stuff in the box.

It has been a very long week and I am totally beat. I've got to go move some laundry around so off I go. Talk to you later.

Christine
