I totally understand the baby issue. It happens a lot. Maureen and one of her best friends got pregnant at the same time. The friend miscarried...and it hurt Maureen's feelings, but she disappeared from the scene for awhile. I think Maureen understood...but unless you've btdt, it's hard to really understand!
Not that you'd have the scoop, but why didn't they try to adopt? Since she's black and he's white, they'd be perfect for a biracial baby. That's mostly what's available around here anyway...unless you have thousands to spend. Maybe you should plant the seed next time you chat with him or her!
Here's hoping he was just wanting to check up on you, knowing the baby is due soon, and that this wasn't your mom's doing!
