large pile of boxes. Things like the box that my microwave came in...um...the microwave that died about 5 years ago, lol! Ditto boxes for rubbermaid storage containers, a mixer, a vaporizer, etc. LOL! To look out there you'd think I'd gone on a buying spree.

Really, it's just that when I moved in here I'd moved 5 times in the previous 6 years! Before that I'd moved innumerable times in the years since I graduated from high school. I'd learned to keep my boxes.

Well, since having kids I just hadn't thought to go thru the boxes in the garage (I have three huge shelves out there...about 6' long and 3' deep.) to weed out unneeded boxes.

I know none of you are to this point in life yet...the point where you can start getting rid of a lot of stuff. I've done it repeatedly these past two years. All my maternity stuff, all the baby supplies, all the toddler toys, and now finally I have time to go through my old crud!

To be honest, if I hadn't felt like this week was the only week I'd have off all summer I'd have given it a bit more effort. I bet I could have filled another three or four bags easily! Ah, well, that gives me something to do this fall, right, lol? Our next big trash pick-up date is the week after Christmas.
