每次離港外遊,我總會在機場禁區中先吃一頓才上機;而芸芸食店中,我的選擇通常都是「漢堡王」。
「漢堡王」的英文名比較出名,恕不寫出來了。以前它的中文名並非「漢堡王」,而是音譯「堡加敬」;為啥現在變了「漢堡王」?應該是跟隨內地及台灣的譯法吧。
「阿王」在原產地美國,是數一數二的名牌快孺情A更是全球第二大漢堡連鎖店。它的特色是:其漢堡包中的那片牛肉是用爐火燒烤的(即所謂BBQ),而不是像「老麥」般用平鑊煎的。個人感覺,烤的真係會香齱B好食齱I
照計香港人咁鍾意BBQ,「阿王」一定會好受歡迎啦!事實卻非如此。「阿王」以往曾兩度登陸香港,結果都不敵「老麥」而敗走。第一次,大約是在七十年代末、八十年代初,當時幾家美國快孺惘P時起步在港發展;唯幾年之後,「老麥」明顯一枝獨秀,擊退了其他對手,而「阿王」也在港絕[了好一段日子。到九十年代,「阿王」又捲土重來,在旺區有不少分店;但不知怎地,過了幾年又紛紛停業,一間不留。
直到幾年前,驚喜地發現新機場的禁區內居然有一家「漢堡王」,真係一大喜訊!於是,以後每逢離港都定必幫襯。
