繼連續幾年的《魔戒》電影系列後，今個農曆年檔期又有一部魔幻大片上畫：《魔幻王國：獅子‧女巫‧魔衣櫥》。
說《獅》片是《魔戒》的姊妹作，絕不為過。與《魔戒》電影一樣，《獅》片亦是改編自小說，而原著作者魯益師（C.S. Lewis）與《魔戒》作者托爾金（J.R.R. Tolkien）乃多年知交，情同手足。
在二次大戰後，魯益師與托爾金同於英國牛津大學執教鞭，因有着寫作上的共同興趣，二人經常在把酒談天，分享創作心得。
話說，他倆均深感當時欠缺青年人讀物，於是相約一起創作，期望能各自交出既有趣味，亦思想正面的作品。結果，托爾金寫出了《魔戒》系列故事（The Lord of the Rings），描述中土世界的奇幻歷史；而魯益師則寫成《納尼亞傳奇》（The Chronicles of Narnia），創造了「魔幻王國納尼亞」中的正邪大戰。由兩「兄弟」互相影響鼓勵之下而生出的經典作品，自然可以視為姊妹作了！
《納尼亞傳奇》小說共有七集，而今次的電影版《獅》似乎只包括第二集的故事，應該還會拍下去！
