過年期間，多了時間待在家中，於是多了時間看電視，尤其是新聞報道，簡直是由早看到晚、由晚再看到天亮。
這個年假，除了年年例牌的過年喜慶新聞（如：初一黃大仙萬人空巷上頭注香、初二維港兩岸幾十萬人睇煙花、初三赤口又萬人往拜車公等等）之外，壞消息的新聞也着實不少。看了幾天，心中卻累積了不少疑問，不知大家有否同感？
埃及旅行團車禍：車禍在香港時間初三（一月三十一日）下午一時左右發生。翌日（初四）下午打開「有線電視新聞台」一看，該台記者已抵達當地醫院採訪。反觀其他電視台，初四當天播的都是同一段通訊社片段，其記者們要在初五才現身當地，比「有線」足足遲了一天！點解「有線」可以咁快？
盆菜食物中毒：由初二起就陸續有報道，指不少市民因進食了元朗錦田「百家盆菜」後感到不適，一直到初五、初六，仍然有新個案，累積逾四百多人。問題是：據稱所有人都是在初一食用「百家盆菜」的，為何有些人一早就感不適，有些人會遲數天才發病？如果說，部分人不是在初一吃，是後來才吃的，那麼他們明明看新聞知道「百家盆菜」有事，為何也照吃如儀？傻㗎？
