我那長期居住在外地的父母，每次訪港小住，總會四圍搵食，回味一些外地嚐不到的地道食品。
那些大家馬上會聯想到的港式雲吞麵、燒鵝瀨粉、新鮮出爐老婆餅，以至沙田著名燒乳鴿等等，都是令他們回味無窮的大路之選，自然不在話下。然而，亦有很多他們特意要嚐的食品，是較令我意想不到的。
比如說，某大快孺悸滿u焗豬扒飯」，每次父親回港都一定要去吃一次；何解？因為這道食品表面上是西嚏A其實真的很「香港」的，別的地方絕對找不到那種獨特的味道。
另一類似例子是茶曙U的「西多士」，不過這一味更得我父所愛，總不會只吃一次那麼少！西多士似乎是來自法蘭西，但在外地吃的西多與香港西多，是完全兩種不同的東西！
除了食店食品之外，就算超市中也有回味目標，其中一款居然是某牌子的「藍罐曲奇」。母親解釋曰：「外國都有得賣，但係貴好多，唔捨得買，所以好少食。」
「紅豆雪條」，則肯定是東方特產，有錢都買不到；每次他們來我家住，雪櫃冰格必定長有紅豆雪條。
講起雪櫃，母親來訪的日子，少開它為妙，皆因果王「榴槤」正是她的至愛：「外國買又貴又唔靚嘛，所以買多啲食番夠本囉！」
