忽下決心，把家中的VHS錄影機拆除，棄掉。
事緣上周末，本來有一個電視節目難得有小弟出鏡（聽說有三秒之多），故想將之錄下來，他日用來「款待」親朋戚友。誰知，把錄影機校好預錄時間後，卻發現家中沒有VHS錄影帶。
為了錄一個十分鐘的節目，為了自己出鏡三秒，卻要我專登落樓去買一盒錄影帶？算了吧，隨即打消了這個念頭。
同時，我又想起一件事。當年電視劇《金枝慾孽》稱霸之際，有人託我把最後一集大結局錄下來。於是我就調校預錄程序，備好錄影帶，以為一切準備就緒，萬無一失了吧！
結果，錄是錄到了，可是回帶一看，全集畫面都充滿雜紋，模糊不清，無法觀看！到底是帶子有問題，抑或是錄影機壞了？我無法得知，事後亦沒有深究。
《金枝慾孽》事件至今已年多兩年，我的錄影機一直沒有錄放過；因此，就算我今次有帶子在手，也未必一定能順利錄影吧。
進一步想，既然這部機器已老化了，幾年都不用一次，我還留住它幹嘛？簡直徒佔空間而已。反正現在那些DVD錄影機愈來愈便宜，是時候「進化」，棄用VHS了！
於是，我正式宣布，告別VHS，告別Analog，甚至告別錄影了。
