大家一定有這樣的經驗：在一部電子櫃員機前，排滿了等候提款的人們，大約有五個人以上。奇怪地，過了好幾分鐘，人龍卻遲遲不動，且愈來愈長；大家開始不耐煩，到底櫃員機前正在操作的那個人，在搞乜鬼？
只見，那是一位太太，左手拿着一大堆帳單，右手則在一按一驚心地慢慢逐個數字輸入，很明顯是以櫃員機來支付各項水電帳單及信用卡數吧！
可是，她操作得並不純熟，又生怕會入錯數字，因此每付一張帳單，也得花上超過一分鐘！然而她手上仍有五、六張未付的帳單……她卻完全旁若無人地，慢條斯理慢慢「打機」。
排隊的人們（包括我在內），都敢怒不敢言，只能暗自氣結；說到底，人人都有權使用櫃員機，而既然櫃員機設有付帳服務，又沒有規限每人使用的時間，那位太太是大可以一直在機前「磨」下去的。
其實這是一個公德心的問題。一般人在櫃員機提款或查數、轉帳，最快約二十秒就成事，甚少會停留在機前超過兩分鐘的；尤其是在這種多人排隊的場合，大部分人都會「醒目」，盡量快手搞掂，這就是「公德」。
看來，港人在這方面的公德意識尚未足夠，因為這種「付帳機霸」隨街可見！
