 雖然中文在電腦和手機上的應用已十分普遍，但有時總覺得，中文輸入法的問題仍然甚多，用得並不稱心。
最大問題是輸入法的版本太多，未能有一個全球華人皆能共用的輸入法。我使用中文電腦已十多年，最初學的是「簡易輸入法」（又稱「速成」）輸入法，其實乃「倉頡輸入法」的簡易版。「倉頡」已算是中文輸入法中最普及者，然而卻頗為難學，必須多操練才可上手。
當N年之後，我終於苦練成「倉頡輸入法」時，方發現原來市面上有更多更易學、更易上手的輸入法，一時間頗為納悶。但心想：「我總算學會了能通行全球中文電腦的那種輸入法了吧！不會有差的。」
可是，當我去到中國內地，在網吧上網時，卻發覺自己完全不能打中文字！皆因內地的電腦，視窗全部是簡體字版之餘，並沒有「倉頡」。而內地電腦最普及的輸入法，是「拼音」。
天啊，普通話我是說得還可以，但要我把拼音以英文字母拼出來，真的頭大！雖然，那些電腦還內置十種八種其他的輸入法，但我一個也不懂。
然後近年用手機打中文多了，那個是「筆劃輸入法」。換句話說，要想一個輸入法就走天下，是沒有可能的。
