早在美國留學時,我就與「哈迪斯」結緣。「哈迪斯」打入香港時,以「美國三大快孺惜坐@」來作宣傳;這個說法我有點保留,但「哈迪斯」在當地的確周街都係,就算不是三大,五大是絕無問題的。
初嚐美國「哈迪斯」,就被它一款獨有的食物吸引了:蘑菇芝堡(Mushroom and Swiss Burger)。它以獨特的蘑菇醬汁,淋在漢堡扒上,配以瑞士芝士,肉香撲鼻,口感一流,是以每次我都可以連吃兩個。
要知道,美國每家快孺掖ㄕ釣誙iller Burger,即招牌漢堡:「老麥」的魚柳包無人能及,但最著名還是Big Mac;Burger King的賣點是其漢堡扒是燒的不是煎的,其招牌漢堡叫Whopper(港譯「皇牌」);Wendy's的名包是大大個配以新鮮蔬菜的Big Classic;「白堡」則以細細個的方型漢堡包馳名;Arby's賣的是Roast Beef Burger。至於「哈迪斯」,個人認為它這個「蘑菇芝堡」絕對是出色的招牌之作!
到了香港,「哈迪斯」還大搞本地化,把那個蘑菇汁淋在白飯上,變成「蘑菇飯」;這點我並不反對。但近年不知為何,「哈迪斯」居然把「蘑菇芝堡」在菜牌上除名,認真敗筆!之後我就甚少幫襯,而它也步向末路了。
