這天走去專售日本雜誌的店子，問店員：「請問新一期的《宇宙船》出咗未？」
店員卻答道：「未啊……噢，不，《宇宙船》停刊了。」我這才恍然大悟。對，在這本雙月刊的上一期，的確刊出了一頁停刊公告，我明明看過的，卻忘了。
在日本那邊，雜誌創刊和停刊，如家常便飯。釵h雜誌在試刊初期，會以特刊（或稱「特別增刊」）的形式，不定期出版。若果市場接受的話，也雪|變成定期的季刊，或進一步改為雙月刊。不過，有部分在季刊、雙月刊時期，就會被淘汰了。
假使雙月刊成央A雜誌社也雪|決定將之「月刊化」。所以有時你會在一些日本雜誌封面，看到「月刊化決定」的字眼，那就代表該雜誌又過了一大關，晉身成為月刊。那麼，它會變成雙周刊、周刊嗎？多數不會，因為那是完全不同的市場。
上面提及的《宇宙船》，乃一本科幻特攝專門誌，於八十年代創刊，一直都是季刊。近年由於特攝片在日本中興，於是約兩年前《宇宙船》改成雙月刊。可是同期又有釵h同類的新雜誌湧現，明顯地《宇宙船》敗下陣來，宣告停刊。
