今年十月，蘋果電腦公司宣布與迪士尼簽訂了合約，讓iPod的用戶可以下載迪士尼旗下ABC電視台的劇集，於iPod上觀賞，當中包括了深受歡迎的《靚太唔易做》、《迷》等等，每集收費約1.99美元。
結果，這項服務推出後，三星期之內就賣出了一百萬段影片。這不但證明了經互聯網下載劇集的市場大有可為，也可能令人們觀看電視的習慣出現革命性的轉變！
據知，蘋果與ABC的成央A已令美國行內各大公司爭相仿效，走馬推出類似的服務。NBC開始把每日的夜間新聞放上網，供人下載。The Food Network與HGTV兩個頻道，都開始把自己的新節目先在網上播放，然後才在電視推出。MTV旗下幾個頻道，亦先後推出了寬頻的網站，供人上網觀看。
反觀香港呢？與其讓非法下載有隙可乘，各大電視台何不先下手為強，率先自行開發讓觀眾合法下載的市場呢？
講真，我們對釵h電視節目都有興趣，但要我們這班都市忙人依時依候回家觀看，實在是難事；大家甚至沒有閒情去預校錄影呢！但如果有得下載，可以放在iPod或手機中隨時觀看，我絕對願意付錢喎！
