半夜睡不着，電視又正值粵語殘片時段，上網又上到厭；一個人在家中，還有甚麼娛樂？
──不如來一場「虛擬球賽」吧。
隨手拿起手提遊戲機PSP，插入一隻棒球遊戲碟；選好了兩隊比賽的美國MLB球隊，然後把兩隊都設定為由CPU來控制，即由電腦自己打自己。
放心，電腦絕對公平，雖然兩隊都由它控制，但它不會偏心那一隊，更不會打假波。你大可以舒服地半躺床上，慢慢欣賞一場旗鼓相當的精采賽事！
今時今日的遊戲機，圖像方面已經做到極之逼真，看着熒幕上的人仔投球、擊球、接殺，在我眼中與看真人球賽分別不大；背景嘛，既有天色與天氣的變化，又有觀眾搖旗吶喊，甚至大玩人浪！音效方面，絕對係「真嘅一樣」！有講波佬即時評述，有觀眾的喝采聲、柴台聲……總而言之，整體的感覺與看ESPN的MLB棒球賽直播幾乎一樣！
如果棒球不是你那杯茶，你大可以換上NBA籃球、FIFA足球等等。我的經驗是，全場共九個回合的棒球賽，通常到第三、四個回合我就會看到失去知覺、安然入睡。噢，似乎本文的標題應改為「遊戲機催眠法」。
