記得當年香港第三個電視台「佳視」開台，對我這個兒童觀眾來說是一大喜訊；因「佳視」周六下午推出一個兒童時段《三○一部隊》，絕對是破天荒之舉。
如何破天荒？話說它在下午三時零一分播出，連續播放近三小時的日本超人特撮片、動畫卡通片，達四、五套之多。記憶中，史上第一套五色戰隊片《五勇士》、有個細佬的《大鐵人十七號》、唱到街知巷聞的《金剛飛天鑽》等等，都是在《三○一部隊》首播的。
是故，當年每到周六下午，我和阿妹就擔定凳仔，由下午三點睇到六點，一套接一套的看，不亦樂乎；但父母就看不過眼，頻頻出聲：「乜有咁多套卡通㗎！播極都仲有，有冇搞錯呀！」我們一於詐聽不到，照看可也；但老實說，連看三小時，真有點累的。
不過，在如今的眼光看來，《三○一部隊》實在小兒科。最近我訂購了一個有線台叫 Animax，是全天候二十四小時播放日本動畫的，再加上原有專播歐美卡通的 Cartoon Network，隨時想睇卡通都有，不必等星期六。但看來家父母看到這篇文，又會出聲：「咁大個人仲睇卡通片！」
