問你一個問題：假使你是一隊著名球隊A的成員，不論你是球隊經理、職員、教練、球員以至球迷都好，反正你就是A隊的忠心一族。可惜，這天A隊卻敗給了死敵B隊。
請問，下次當你以旁觀者的身分，觀看B隊與其他隊伍比賽時，你會希望B隊敗陣，抑或希望它勝出？
如果A隊和B隊在聯盟中屬同一組別，即是說B隊敗下會對A隊的排名有利，那麼釵h人的答案，就一定簡單直接：當然是希望B隊輸波。
若不論組別、不理排名，相信釵h人的答案仍然一樣，想B隊輸！別忘了，B隊是死敵呀！就讓其他隊為我們報上次一箭之仇吧！這純粹是復仇心理。
不過，球類比賽的統計學中有一樣東西叫做「SOS」（Strength of Schedule，可姑且譯為「賽程強度」）。從這個角度看，反而應該希望死敵B隊勝出！因為B隊的成績愈好，即該隊愈強，相對地就顯得上次A隊敗給B隊，是較可接受的。反之，如果B隊在打敗A隊後，接下來卻連輸幾場給一些弱隊，就倍令A隊臉上無光！
這種「希望敵人贏」的心理，很有趣。你會為你的敵人喝采嗎？
