初夏之際，還未到炎夏，家中幾部冷氣機已紛紛投入戰線，為毀滅臭氧層及地球生態作出「貢獻」。
可是，「開戰」不到幾天，其中一部忽然「瓜柴」，不能着機。記憶中，該機買回來大約只有年多兩年而已；即是說，保養期肯定過了，維修費用貴客自付。
致電往原廠保養中心詢問，報上症狀，服務員居然愛理不理的，說大概是摩打燒了，要更換的話連上門檢查費約需一千元；然後他竟一路勸我不要修理，說安裝一部新的只千餘元，何必修理？又謂而家啲電器係咁「化學」的了，用一兩年報銷是平常事云云……
今時今日，這種「做又三十六，唔做又三十六」的服務態度，居然在香港出現！我服了！
找樓下街坊水電鋪診斷，結果維修費報價八百，卻不是換原廠摩打，有一定的風險。衡量過後，決定還是裝一部新的算了，爽爽快快免得麻煩。
忽想起約兩年前，我裝這部冷氣時，不也是因為對上一部壞了麼？而對上一部，也是用了約兩年就報銷……現代電器產品之「短命」，真可見一斑！
