較早前有新聞報道，指香港的超級市場濫發膠袋，極不環保云云；只見現在各大超市已在店內明顯位置，張貼告示鼓勵顧客減用膠袋，少用一個並有現金回贈的優惠。
但我一直很懷疑：今時今日生活在現代社會的我們，真的可以少用些膠袋麼？
每次我去超市購物，總會買上一大堆日用品，於是不得不以四、五個膠袋盛載回家。這些膠袋，我卻一定會好好收藏，以便廢物利用，作為家中垃圾桶內鋪墊用的垃圾袋；倒垃圾時，一袋袋的包紮好拿出去，會比較合符衛生，這也是現在一般家庭普遍的做法。
OK，我大可以在下次往超市購物時，不取用超市提供的膠袋而使用環保袋。可是，家中就會因而缺乏垃圾桶用的膠袋。於是乎，我就有必要購買垃圾桶專用的垃圾袋。這樣做的結果是：我花費更多的錢，卻會用掉更多的膠袋，而且更不環保！
事實上，超市的濫發膠袋情況並非最嚴重呢！君不見有釵h自助式的麵包店，你每買一個麵包，店員就會以一個獨立的膠袋為你包裝；十個包用十一個袋，這才叫做濫！但為了衛生，我們又可以怎樣？
