便利店，真的很便利麼？不一定的。
我試過有一次在街上，遇上手提電話沒有電，但又急着要打一個電話，只好找公共電話。
大家都知道，現今香港的手提電話普及度極高，街上的電話亭因使用人數大減，而近乎絕跡；要找公共電話的話，似乎最便利的地方應是便利店。
我走進一家便利店，手中緊握幾個一蚊大餅準備致電。在店內團團轉了一圈，終於在一個隱蔽的角落找着了一部公共電話；可是，我卻找不到投放硬幣的那個洞──原來，這部公共電話是不接受硬幣的，只可以使用儲值電話卡。
奇怪的事發生了！我走到櫃面，向店員查詢儲值電話卡售價；店員居然表示，沒有儲值電話卡出售！
我呆了一呆，不禁質問道：「你們店內的公共電話不接受輔幣而只能用電話卡，但你們居然沒有電話卡賣？有冇搞錯！咁部電話裝喺度有乜用？」店員答不出個所以然，口震震地道：「你可以去電訊型哥專門店買儲值卡的。」但方圓百里之內，哪來的電訊型哥專門店？如此情況，焉能說是便利？
