提起大閘蟹，大家都一定知道最著名的品種，來自江蘇陽澄湖。
近年，因市面愈來愈多大閘蟹「自稱」來自陽澄湖（不是蟹兒們自稱，而是蟹商宣稱），實質卻產自江浙其他湖泊，有的更來自深圳養殖場，魚目混珠的情況十分嚴重。是故，正宗陽澄湖大閘蟹的供應商，就想出了在蟹背印上防偽標誌的點子來。
咪住：到底誰才是正宗的供應商？問題來了！上海有家「江蘇陽澄湖大閘蟹股份有限公司」，擁有「陽澄湖大閘蟹」這個品牌；可是，代表陽澄湖成千上萬蟹農的「江蘇陽澄湖大閘蟹協會」，卻質疑對方的蟹是否來自陽澄湖。「公司」與「協會」各自開發了不同的防偽標籤系統，各有各印，最近且展開了罵戰，都指自己的蟹才是唯一正宗的陽澄湖大閘蟹。
普通一只大閘蟹成本約人民幣十元，在內地市場一般可作價十多二十元；若標明陽澄湖品牌的，就可賣到六十多元一只。可想而知，如此值錢的「陽澄湖大閘蟹」正宗地位，引起爭奪乃在所難免！
買蟹時請留意，不要以為有印的就是正宗；依我觀察，周街的蟹都有印呢！有的印既非「公司」亦非「協會」，完全來路不明……
