如無意外，本文刊出之時，中國第一艘載人太空船「神舟五號」已經發射成央I
對於我國近年的太空成就，我們在感到光榮之餘，卻毋須太驚訝。早在八十年代初就曾有科學家預言過，謂中國的太空科技，終有一日會超越美國及蘇聯（現俄羅斯）！
這位咁睇好中國的科學家，名叫阿瑟克拉克（Arthur C. Clarke, 1917～），是現代通訊衞星的發明者。當然他較為人知的身分是科幻小說大師，代表作《二○○一：太空漫遊》；多年來，他小說中的釵h科幻情節與構思，後來都變成事實，絕對是世上數一數二的思想先驅。
克拉克作品《二○一○：太空漫遊二》，初版於一九八二年。內容講述美蘇兩國合作，以蘇製太空船「李奧諾夫號」前往木星，調查發生在二○○一年（前作）的「發現號」意外。誰料，中國太空船「錢博士號」卻後發先至，率先在木星衞星歐羅巴登陸，並發現該處有生物存在……
他正正是藉此「預言」了，中國將會是美俄以外的第三大太空強國！以目前中國太空計畫的成績與走勢來看，他的「預言」的確是逐步應驗中。且看二○一○年時，我們的太空船是否真的後發先至！
