上了網這麼多年，可直到最近才感受到網上聊天室的魅力。
偶然進入了一個武俠網，此網會員的網名位位都是「獨孤乜乜」、「物物滄海」等武俠專詞，而他們（也有更多的「她們」，令人驚訝）對武俠小說熟悉程度之高，堪稱「武俠活字典」。
此網設有聊天室，可讓會員或訪客作即時的網上聊天。某次我上去只蹓躂了一陣子，就不能自已地上癮了；現在每晚都要上一上，和這班武林高手交流一番。
聊天室的魅力，在於其打破空間隔閡的能力。跟身在香港的我「過招」的，有正在西藏守邊防的軍官（顯然是偷偷上網的），有初抵法國的留學生（肯定仍十分想念老家的事物吧），有合肥市的報紙編輯（對方一知我是行家，就教我一句內地語：「同行見同行，兩眼疏L汪」）……
如果沒有互聯網、沒有聊天室，我又怎可能在半夜三更，跟這些來自五湖四海的人遇上、結交、切磋？
難得的是，這班人絕非無聊才聊天，而是大部分時間都在談武論俠，或討論如何改善這個網的版面；試過有人發現別的網抄襲此網的原創文字，大家就聯手往該網「攻擊」。這，不正正是網上的武林幫派嗎？
