[Trying to find her her own special colour... Tell me if this comes off as a deep, brilliant sky-blue or a close approximation.]
Her eyes sparkle diamond-like as she pushes off the branch with her hind paws. He wants to see my tricks? Then I'll show him!
Swooping swiftly to gain speed, Sirith flattens her talons and paws against her body, wings in close for the dive. Pulling up sharply, she extends her wings and flaps hard, gaining height at speed.
At the crest of her ascent she flips dangerously backwards until she is facing directly towards the unforgiving ground. Pulling her wings in towards her body, she plummets, her heart racing, and, spreading her wings out in a flash at the very last moment before slamming into the canopy, she pulls level, skimming the trees like a gull over water.
Gaining height again but more slowly, Sirith ascends towards the clouds with such determination in her features that it seems more than a possibilty that she will ignore the clouds and fly like Icarus into the sun, only to fall. But as she reaches the unusually low-hanging clouds, she begins an intricate and stunning dance in the gentle white wisps.
Rolling like a log or an otter at play, she closes her eyes, trusting her life to the tender sky. Moving in strange ways, her body is caressed by the breezes as she and the wind soar in an intimate embrace.
