Subject: 6 mo. puppy barks 5-6 times at people & cars

My puppy can heel, sit when I stop walking, can now down and knows good boy from hand signals. He is walked daily and I try to expose him to many situations. I was hoping that his barking at moving cars and people we meet on our walks would extinguish as we practice daily. It's pretty much the same. By the end of the walk (1-2 miles) he has decreased his amount of barking--maybe one woof or none, but the next day he starts again. I have tried having him sit and letting people come up to him (he still barks and stands) or having people stop and then he goes up to them and is quiet after barking at them. Does anyone have any ideas? I also need a signal for peeing (he does go in the same part of the yard--but what about anywhere else?) Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Thanks!
