I agree with Noofie. E-fences work for some dogs, but not others. Considering the danger for deaf dogs when they escape their safe yards (since they can't hear deadly things like cars), I, too, would recommend a physical fence. Some dogs will take the shock of the fence for the reward of freedom. I think e-fences are risky.
