We'd like to know that too. We've had a lot of murders here this month. A neighbor killed a family of 4 during an alcohol blackout. A mother and a daughter were shot to death during a hike, no suspects and now the jewish federation shootings. It is all so sad and makes a person weary. One item that didn't really make the news was a random stabbing at a public health center. I know the woman who was stabbed she's been to my house very noce vivacious person. The person who stabbed her had had 5 assault convictions prior to this one. She's mentally ill and says she blacked out and doesn't remember the stabbings. M.(the victim) is still in critical condition, lost an eye and was stabbed in the heart. lungs and liver she was removed from intubation yesterday and seems to be breathing ok on her own now. She is still being sedated and as far as I know doesn't yet know what happened to her.

I am so tired of violence, the random violence that has been happening here is very disturbing. A terrorism of my of my psyche, if you will.

I stopped reading the papers and watching the news after my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I couldn't handle the emotional upheaval associated with cancer and the violent, senseless cruelties people heaped on each other being reported on every day. The news media was no longer allowed in my life. It was too much to process.

Yesterday, six women were shot, one died, three are in critical condition. The man, a Muslim, claimed he didn't like Isreal and took it out on these women at the Jewish Federation. I can't reconcile how these women were responsible for the attrocity happening in the mideast now. Why did they have to pay?
