Two storms moved through the area last night. The first stopped the Cubs game and the fans had to evacuate the seats! The lightning and thunder went on for about an hour and it was something. Never saw so many sky to ground strikes. Everytime I looked out the window there was a jagged flash hitting something in the distance. Plus all the light in the sky.

The second storm came through about 11 pm and the wind and rain were really intense. More damage in my neighbrohood from that second storm. I looked out and could not see my neighbors house. Alas, the corn is flatten. My neighbor on the other side has two tree branches that broke off and are stuck in the tree overhanging the sidewalk. Our plastic chairs blew arcoss the patio. That's all I can see from inside the house. Will have a look around later to make sure everything is still in place.

Well, at least we still have power.
