and I agree with everything everyone posted to you except one: the smell of baking apples makes me nauseous! It sounds silly, but there are people out here who don't eat apple pie and can't stand the smell.

When we sold our house, our realtor said to burn candles but blow them out just before the potential buyer entered. An overwhelming scent may have a detrimental effect.

P.S. It's not just apple pie...I can't tolerate the smell of apple juice, apple cider, apple fritters...cooked or juiced apple anything. I can eat them raw, though. Go figure.
