in the greater scheme of things, my or anyone else's opinion of the situation is pretty insignificant. it's crazy to think anyone has the solution to offer to make this situation any better for you or your wife. one thing that is important is the opinion i, and i'm guessing others here, already have of you, and this does nothing to change that.

through our association here and in the jungle, i've come to see you as a person who has nothing but love and the highest regard for your family. while none of us is there to witness it first hand, the type of passion and wit and insight you have in regards to the stories you tell us about them (we haven't had a good sam one in awhile), it can only come from a man who loves them truly and understands them deeply. hell, the love you have spoken of for your wife is enough to make anyone envious. you come across as being an involved and loving father, and your wife is lucky to have you (if, for no other reason, your taste shown by your love of minor threat.)

armed with that, whatever decision the two of you make will be what's in the best interest for your family's well-being. there's nothing selfish in that. that seems to be something that i see less and less of as i grow older (did i just say that?), and regardless of one's stance on the topic of abortion, that committment to family is something to be admired by everyone and it trumps anything else in my mind. there are no absolutes, and this subject is no different. for anyone on the outside to pretend they know what's best for either of you is crazy. that's why, not that it's really important regardless, that you have my support no matter what.
